Hopes are high for Tunmise Adeleye. The same could be said for a number of transfer portal additions, but Michigan State football fans are most excited about the Texas A&M transfer.

In fact, Adeleye was one of the top recruits in the 2021 class but saw very little action in two years and decided to hit the transfer portal after the 2022 season. He liked what Michigan State had to offer in terms of Brandon Jordan and Marco Coleman and stuck around even when both of those guys left for different opportunities.

After his first spring in East Lansing, there’s a good feeling that he’s going to be a starter on that defensive line when the season begins and the hype might just be real.

Michigan State fans aren’t the only ones high on the former top-100 prospect, however.

Michigan State football transfer addition ranked in the top 50

On Wednesday, 247Sports released their updated transfer rankings. Only one Spartan appeared on that list and it was Adeleye who came in at No. 35, according to Stephen Brooks.

Also according to the rankings, Keon Coleman was No. 16 in this transfer cycle and Germie Bernard was No. 148. A couple of noticeable omissions from the rankings were Payton Thorne and Nathan Carter — I am really excited about the latter.

We’re going to see the transfers play a large role yet again in East Lansing and Adeleye looks to lead the way. He could be this year’s Jacoby Windmon who was last year’s Kenneth Walker III — I am now dubbing the top transfer every year the “Kenneth Walker” of that class.
