Michigan State football makes the cut for 4-star WR Bredell Richardson
Michigan State football recruiting is about to pick up in the coming month(s). The Spartans are entering official visit season in June and that just means that the 2024 class of three commits is likely to grow.
With official visit season almost here, that means a number of top targets are trimming their lists as well.
One of those top targets is four-star wide receiver Bredell Richardson from Tampa, Fla.
On Thursday, Richardson released his “final four” list of schools that includes Michigan State, Michigan, LSU, and Oregon — an absolutely loaded list.

Richardson is ranked the No. 259 overall prospect and 37th-best receiver in the 2024 class by the 247Sports Composite. This would be a huge win for Mel Tucker and Courtney Hawkins given who else is in that top four with the Spartans.
Beating LSU, Michigan, and Oregon won’t be easy because they all offer something different, but Hawkins has proven that he can get receivers to the NFL.
Hawkins’ background could help Michigan State football
Many people don’t realize just how great of a recruiting tool Hawkins is. Not only is he one of the better receivers coaches in the country, but he also has an impressive playing career to show to recruits, proving that he knows what he’s talking about.
Hawkins has sent a receiver to the NFL in two straight years and it would have been three if not for Keon Coleman deciding to head to Florida State after transferring out.
Landing a player like Richardson would be a game-changer for Hawkins and that offense because he could grow and learn from the best. The fit would be mutually beneficial.
