Michigan State football: Previewing games 7-9 including another big rivalry win?
vs. Nebraska (Nov. 4)
At some point, you have to feel bad for Nebraska fans. They have a stadium in Lincoln and then nothingness for 500 miles in any direction so what happens in said stadium has to be a quality product for them to feel any kind of happiness.
Unfortunately, that has not been the case for several years. Scott Frost seemed so promising and seemed to be on the verge of finally breaking through but could never get over the hump. But this year isn’t the year to feel bad for them.
Do I think Matt Rhule is the answer? It’s really hard to tell seeing as he had a 19-20 record at Baylor, albeit starting 1-11 and then going to the Big 12 title game just two years later. While he might be the answer down the road, it’s looking to be a tough year for the Cornhuskers in 2023.
New coach, a new quarterback in Georgia Tech transfer Jeff Sims now that Casey Thompson has entered the portal, and subpar recruiting by the previous regime means this Huskers team isn’t ready to compete.
Prediction: Michigan State 31, Nebraska 21
