Pro: All eyes on MSU

With the game moving to Friday, Michigan State vs. Central Michigan will compete with the likes of Stanford at Hawaii, Louisville at Georgia Tech, Miami (OH) at Miami (FL) (that’s a cute matchup), and Howard at Eastern Michigan.

There’s a pretty good chance, MSU will get that coveted 7:30/8 p.m. ET ESPN/ABC time slot, which is A) easier to access than say, FS2 or BTN2 and B) a better broadcast team announcing the game and C) a chance to show the country that MSU Football needs to be taken seriously again.

Along the same lines, it won’t be competing against games like Colorado at TCU, Northwestern at Rutgers (not a great matchup but would likely get the nod for the early BTN game, sending MSU to BTN+ or FS2), or West Virginia at Penn State.

By moving this game, it’s going to be simple: primetime on a prime channel and Spartan fans can spend all day watching other games or getting household chores down without trying to schedule around the game.
