I’m definitely not alone in thinking that Nathan Carter might be one of the best players on the team this upcoming season. He’s already drawing attention with praise from his teammates as well as a viral photo that showed just how unbelievably jacked he is.

Muscles are great and everything, but it’s his style of play that’s going to set him apart. He’s an elusive back with decent size and elite strength. He’ll be tough to corral next season.

And we get to see what he can bring to the table this spring. I’m incredibly excited to see what he’s capable of during the spring game and I know Spartan fans have high hopes.

Is he going to be the next Kenneth Walker III? No one can fill that void, but he’s going to give this backfield a heck of a bump in production from last year. The one-two punch of Carter and Jalen Berger will be one of the best the Big Ten will have to offer.

Carter was on pace for a career year at UConn in 2022 before getting hurt against Michigan. He had 405 yards and a touchdown on 6.2 yards per carry in four games.

Hopes are sky-high.
