While we are all sad and thinking what could have been this Michigan State basketball season, it’s important to take some time and remember all the good that has happened.

Here are Michigan State’s top five wins from this previous season.

5. at Nebraska (Feb. 28)

Things looked bleak. Real bleak. We all wondered if the Spartans could recover mentally from that thing that I said I would never mention again.

For the first 26 minutes of the game, this team looked like they had mentally checked out. But as mentioned before, the Keisei Tominaga 3-point bucket sparked something deep within the Spartans.

Over the next eight minutes, the Spartans went on a 13-2 run and outscored the Cornhuskers 35-12 over those last 14 minutes of the game. Before our very eyes, we saw the team that we all knew they could be. Defense, rebounding, and a 3-point barrage that would make the 2018-19 Houston Rockets blush.

At a critical point in the season, the Spartans chose to get up off the mat and fight when admitting defeat could have been the easier choice, and truly helped them get as far as they did this season.
