2. The trio of guards are playing at an elite level

Jaden Akins, AJ Hoggard, and Tyson Walker are playing their best basketball of the season right now.

Hoggard led the way with 23 and hit some clutch free throws down the stretch and he also had seven assists with just a single turnover. He’s averaging 17.5 points and 8.3 assists over the past four games and he has 21 assists with just two turnovers over the past two games. He’s also shooting 49 percent from the floor over the past four.

Walker has been notably red-hot over the past five, averaging 22 points and 4.3 assists over his past four games, shooting 55 percent from the floor and 61 percent from 3-point range.

Lastly, Akins has been breaking out, averaging 17 points per game over his last three games while shooting 55 percent from the floor and an astounding 71 percent from deep.

These three are playing at an elite level and that’s good timing with March Madness approaching.
