Tyson Walker: A

Tyson Walker was the best player on the floor on Tuesday night.

After starting the game 0-for-4 from the floor, he just kept shooting and he “shot to get hot, shot to stay hot” as he said in his post-game interview. He was having a rough start but then found his groove, getting the Spartans back into the game with a few massive 3-pointers and then he hit one basically from the logo right before halftime to extend the lead to six.

Walker finished 8-for-15 from the floor and 5-for-7 from deep. He was a red-hot 8-for-11 after that slow start which just goes to show that he can take over a game in the blink of an eye.

The All-Big Ten candidate also finished with four assists and a steal with just one turnover as he had one of his best games of the season.

If not for Walker, Michigan State’s offense remains stagnant in the first half and the Spartans don’t win this game. He willed the Spartans to a win much like he almost did against Purdue.
