Beating Indiana in East Lansing is just something Michigan State basketball does best. In fact, the Spartans are 24-2 against the Hoosiers in their last 26 meetings at home.

The trend continued on Tuesday night as the Spartans dominated Indiana, 80-65.

Michigan State improves to 17-10 on the season and 9-7 in conference play, moving it into a fourth-place tie with what feels like the rest of the Big Ten.

The Spartans were impressive on Tuesday night and let’s just say that the player grades reflect that.

Mady Sissoko: B

If the game ended at halftime, Mady Sissoko probably would have gotten somewhere in the C+ or C range. But fortunately for everyone, there was a second half that was played and the junior big man looked like a completely different player in the final 20 minutes.

Mady was diving for loose balls, poking passes loose, blocking shots, and grabbing big rebounds. He was the Mady that we saw in the first few weeks of the season.

And it was refreshing to see.

If Sissoko can play close to this for the rest of the season, the Spartans are going to be one of the toughest teams to beat in March.
