Eminem shows major support for Michigan State after tragedy
Earlier this week, Michigan State students suffered through the most unfathomable situations. A gunman opened fire at the MSU Union and Berkey Hall, taking the lives of three students, paralyzing another, and having four more in critical condition.
It was one of those situations that captured the attention of an entire nation as police from East Lansing and the surrounding cities searched for the gunman.
It was a nightmare.
Hours passed and the gunman was still at large until police found him at around midnight (the situation began at around 8:30 p.m. ET) and he took his own life.
Michigan State students will never be the same after fearing for their lives and sheltering in place for hours while police searched campus for an armed and dangerous shooter.
Waves of support have come from all walks of life, famous alums, and even Big Ten rivals.
Eminem supports Michigan State in a big way
A major celebrity who grew up in Detroit and whose daughter went to Michigan State even offered his support, making a donation to the Spartan Strong fund and reposting the link to his 22 million followers on Twitter.

It’s cool to see someone with the platform that Eminem does support the university and spread the word to his millions of followers on Twitter.
This tweet alone should get millions of eyes on the donation link and will help the university in a big way. Plus, as we’ve seen with some of the shooting victims and their families, the Spartan community has banded together in a massive way to make GoFundMe donations of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Good on Eminem for this show of support.
