Sunday afternoon is going to feature a heck of a showdown. Michigan State basketball will be hitting the road to face the No. 1 team in the country in one of the toughest places to play in the sport: Mackey Arena.

The Spartans haven’t won at Mackey in nearly a decade and if that’s going to change, it’ll take a near-perfect effort.

At least Michigan State will have Malik Hall this time as he was out for the first matchup.

Let’s get bold ahead of Sunday’s massive showdown.

3. Mady Sissoko holds Zach Edey under 50 percent shooting again

The last time Michigan State and Purdue clashed, Mady Sissoko held his own against Zach Edey, holding the 7-foot-4 big man to under 50 percent shooting from the floor.

That’s not easy to do against a guy who can score seemingly at will from inside three feet.

Tom Izzo had a decent game plan set up for him and I think he runs it again. He’ll avoid double-teams, but cut him off from a drive when he catches it on the perimeter. He’ll have to trust that Sissoko will hold his own again and I think he has one of his best defensive games of the year.

Edey will get his shots yet again, but I think he goes somewhere in the range of 10-for-22.
