Tyson Walker: A-

I liked what I saw from Tyson Walker last night as he’s stringing together multiple good games and he’s one of the main reasons Michigan State is 3-0 to begin the month of January.

Walker scored 21 points against Nebraska on 60 percent shooting, had 14 against Michigan on 42 percent shooting, and on Tuesday he scored 13 on 4-of-9 shooting while making all three of his 3-point attempts. He was clutch once again and he’s starting to heat up.

What I was really impressed with on Tuesday night was the fact that he locked up on Connor Essegian late in the game after he got off to a hot start.

I’d like to see Walker do more when it comes to finding open guys as he had just one assist and one turnover, but his defense continues to impress as he finished with a steal and a block.

If Walker stays hot against Illinois, Michigan State will be in good shape.
