Malik Hall: A

Outside of AJ Hoggard, Malik Hall was probably the best player on the floor for the Spartans. He finished with 15 points on 5-for-9 shooting and went on a little bit of a run of his own in the second half that helped the Spartans extend their lead. It was a quiet 15 points, but that shows just how good he is and MSU doesn’t beat Michigan without him.

Pierre Brooks: C

Not a great game for Pierre Brooks as he was 0-for-2 from the floor but it also wasn’t the worst game. He was just kind of there and didn’t make a ton of mistakes and had two rebounds as well.

Jaxon Kohler: C

Another guy who didn’t make any major mistakes but he did give up another and-one to Tarris Reed which hopefully doesn’t become a trend (it happened against Nebraska multiple times as well). He didn’t attempt a single shot, had two rebounds, and a block. Not too bad.

Tre Holloman: C+

I really liked what I saw in limited minutes from Tre Holloman. He’s a willing defender and he gives the Spartans good minutes at the point guard position. He missed a wide-open layup which would have been huge to extend the lead in the second half, but he was otherwise solid in seven minutes.

Carson Cooper: B-

I’m just going to say it: Carson Cooper had the best three-minute stretch of his MSU career. And no, it wasn’t wildly impressive, but he had a defensive stop and a nice rebound before exiting the game. He gave a decent three minutes. I have to give him a good grade here for not being overwhelmed.
