1. Michigan State holds Villanova under 60 points

If you’re looking for a high-scoring affair, you may want to turn on a different game on Friday night. Michigan State is averaging 74 points and Villanova is putting up a little over 68 but when you consider who the Wildcats have played, that’s not very impressive.

Actually, it wouldn’t be that impressive even if Villanova had played three ranked teams, but La Salle, Temple, and Delaware State have held the Wildcats in check.

Villanova is shooting a solid 47 percent from the floor, but they just don’t play that much of an up-tempo game and I think the flow will be in Michigan State’s favor. The Spartans want to get out and run and we’ll see plenty of that from the Spartans while Villanova will struggle to match that speed.

The Wildcats scored 81 against La Salle, 64 against Temple, and 60 against Delaware State. The Spartans have the best defense that Villanova has seen yet. The Wildcats aren’t reaching 60 on Friday night in East Lansing.
