Saturday is a big game for the state of Michigan. Michigan and Michigan State football square off for the annual rivalry game and the Spartans currently hold Paul Bunyan.

The trophy has been in East Lansing ever since Mel Tucker took over and Jim Harbaugh and Co. are trying to change that.

Here’s what I want to see from the Spartans against Michigan this weekend.

3. A healthy roster

I know Mel Tucker is usually hush-hush when it comes to injuries, but he’s surprised us already with the returns of Jacob Slade and Xavier Henderson against Wisconsin. No one was really expecting them to play before the bye, but that was a good sign.

Slade, Henderson, and hopefully Jeff Pietrowski can make their presence felt on Saturday in Ann Arbor and while I don’t see Khris Bogle returning, it would be nice to have him back.

On the offensive side of the ball, seeing Jayden Reed and Payton Thorne healthy was good and they both impressed against Wisconsin. If those two are close to 100 percent against Michigan, anything is possible.

If Michigan State is healthier than it was a month ago, it’ll have at least a shot to pull off an upset on Saturday.
