1. The season has been saved

Everyone was ready to give up on any hope for a bowl berth before Saturday against the Badgers, especially as home underdogs, but Michigan State showed up in a big way.

It did seem like, at times, that Michigan State simply did not want to secure the win (dropped interception in overtime and bobbled snap on a potential game-winning field goal in regulation), but these guys didn’t quit and they kicked off the second half of the season with a huge win.

You have to give this team credit for not giving up when it would have been easy to when they were down by seven and nothing seemed to be going right.

Michigan State may be just 3-4 on the season, but ending that losing streak is actually much bigger than you would expect because of the confidence it could bring to this team.

Getting back into the win column in an emotional way is big and it could just ignite this team into a strong second-half run.

Don’t count the Spartans out yet.
