Michigan State football is in a tough position to start the month of October. The Spartans are 2-3 after a three-game losing streak to Washington, Minnesota, and Maryland, and they’re in danger of falling for a fourth straight time to Ohio State.

And it’s not just possible, it’s likely.

The Buckeyes come to East Lansing on Saturday ranked No. 3 in the country and are massive favorites. I don’t expect this one to end up in favor of the good guys, but anything could happen.

Let’s dive into our boldest of predictions for the matchup and get some excitement flowing.

3. Michigan State football records three sacks

This is probably my boldest prediction and I have it here at No. 3 because, well, I’m not sure that I’m fully confident in it. I wrote it down because I believed it could happen and then I looked at the numbers from both sides and talked myself out of it.

OK, well I’ve since talked myself back into it and I think the Spartans will dial up some pressure against CJ Stroud and get to him three times on Saturday.

There are going to be a number of corner/safety blitzes drawn up by Scottie Hazelton and the linebackers, too, will get in there for some added pressure since the defensive line has been depleted by injuries.

Hopefully the Spartans can get Jacob Slade, Khris Bogle, and/or Simeon Barrow back for the game because that’ll aid this prediction.
