It’s been a rough Michigan State football season thus far, there’s no denying it.

The Spartans have lost three straight games by double figures after winning the first two in dominant fashion. They should have probably kept the Maryland game within one score but missed field goals and extra points ruined that.

Michigan State now heads into its toughest stretch of the season with no momentum and the fanbase’s morale is very low.

But hey, at least we have some bold predictions (put on that fake smile).

3. Elijah Collins becomes RB1

Watching the run game for the past three weeks has been brutal. After Jalen Berger rushed for 100-plus yards in each of the first two games, the offense has failed to produce 200 total rushing yards. It’s been a struggle.

But the one running back who has been the most impressive and efficient over the past few opportunities has been Elijah Collins.

It’s time to give him the reins of the backfield.

Collins looked the best against Maryland last week as the rest of the offense sputtered and I think he’s going to finally win the coaching staff over and win the starting job.
