1. Michigan State football covers

I know this isn’t what everyone wants to hear and this may be a cop-out of a bold prediction, but I think Michigan State covers the -8 spread on the road. It may seem ridiculous as well since the Spartans have lost two straight games by double figures, but it’s time for this team to finally bounce back and play up to its potential.

The Spartans haven’t covered the spread in three weeks, but that’ll change on Saturday as they actually play the Terrapins close throughout and never really feel out of the game.

Do I think Michigan State wins? Not exactly, but I do think that Payton Thorne will play well enough and the offense will look much improved, but I just don’t think the defense will make enough stops to take pressure off the quarterback.

Michigan State keeps this one within a touchdown and has the Terrapins feeling uncomfortable throughout. There’s a chance the Spartans pull off an “upset” here, but either way, I’m going with Michigan State to cover the eight points.
