I’ve finally had time to reflect on Saturday’s loss by Michigan State football at Washington.

And it was ugly.

For the first time this season, I don’t have a ton of good things to say about the Spartans so my weekly report card may be a little ugly.

Here’s how the Spartans graded in their loss to Washington.

Offensive Line: F

What can I say about Saturday’s showing by the offensive line after two really solid weeks to start the year? How about “woof.”

Michigan State’s offensive line regressed to its 2018 and 2019 version on Saturday and it just felt like Payton Thorne was left running for his life and the run game was non-existent because the backs were getting stuffed at the time of the handoff.

Plus, I’m just going to say that the safety in the first quarter to make it 9-0 Washington after Jarek Broussard took a handoff can be blamed partially on the line for getting blown back and running into the running back.

Just a horrible, no-good, forgettable performance for this group.
