Braylon Edwards guarantees Michigan win over Michigan State football
Braylon Edwards has been talking about Michigan State football nonstop and he’s already guaranteeing a Michigan win in October.
You know it’s officially football season when you’re getting chirped at by rival fans and alums for winning a game by only three touchdowns and covering the spread.
Braylon Edwards, known Michigan chirper, took to Twitter on Friday night in the middle of a Michigan State football win in which they only fell behind 3-0 early in the first quarter and never trailed again, winning 35-13, and bashed the Spartans.
The former Michigan receiver slandered the offensive line (despite leading the offense to 7.7 yards per play and allowed one sack) and the secondary (which held Western to under 200 passing yards without the best player) before guaranteeing a Wolverine win over Michigan State in October.
I love trash talk as much as anyone, but what the heck are we even doing here? Shortly after posting this tweet, Michigan State scored 14 straight points to end the game with a 22-point win which covered the spread. Sure, things got dicey in the third quarter, but Michigan State had lost two starting defenders to seemingly serious injuries and the offense continued to move the ball.
Michigan State won a game against a MAC team that had one of the best defenses in college football last year, recording over 430 yards while not playing a very good game.
The Spartans are going to use this Braylon tweet as bulletin board material and you just know Mel Tucker is going to drill that home for the next eight weeks until these two teams meet.
Michigan fans don’t even like when Braylon says things like this, but boy are we glad he did.
