Michigan State basketball coach Tom Izzo got to talk to LeBron James at Draymond Green’s wedding and he spoke highly of his 2023 class.

Draymond Green got married this past weekend and the former Michigan State basketball star turned NBA champion invited his college coach, Tom Izzo, as well as some big-time players in the league.

One of those invitees from the NBA: LeBron James.

The two have a fun relationship that many probably assume is hostile because they’re always on opposing sides, but they’re actually close in real life.

With LeBron at Draymond’s wedding along with Izzo, the NBA legend got a chance to speak with the Hall of Fame coach and he brought up Izzo’s 2023 recruiting class which has made headlines over the past couple of weeks.

According to Izzo and Xavier Booker (who spoke about his future coach’s interaction on his Instagram live), LeBron talked about how impressed he was with the Spartans’ 2023 class.

LeBron is one of the greatest NBA players of all time — arguably the greatest — and when he speaks highly of a young player, you know it means the world. Hearing that he’s impressed by Booker and the fact that he also spoke highly of the rest of the class (namely Coen Carr and his athleticism), has to support what Spartan fans already believed: Izzo’s 2023 class is elite.

That’s quite an endorsement from one of the NBA’s GOATs.

It’s cool that LeBron even pays attention to that kind of stuff even though he’s an NBA legend. Sure, his son is getting recruiting and is one of the country’s top prospects, but he’s paying attention to everyone and Izzo’s 2023 class caught his eye.

And Booker is apparently that guy.

You love to see it.
