Former Michigan State football star and ballhawk Shakur Brown was recently signed by the Titans and he’s “making plays” at fall camp.
Some former Michigan State football players have been showing off this preseason with their respective NFL teams.
Kenneth Walker III is starring with the Seahawks, Connor Heyward has been turning heads with the Steelers, and now Shakur Brown is making plays with the Titans.
In case you don’t remember, Brown went undrafted last year after proving to be a breakout star with the Spartans in 2020. He was projected to go in the middle rounds, but he slipped out of the draft and was signed shortly after by the Steelers. He didn’t quite catch on there and was let go and the Titans picked him up this offseason.
It seems as if he’s making a name for himself so far in fall camp.
Titans writers, including former Michigan State columnist Joe Rexrode, have been singing Brown’s praises at Titans camp recently and he had a big day on Monday with Roger McCreary out.
Roger McCreary out for the day, Shakur Brown steps in to make more plays. Quite a stretch for him.

More and more convinced Shakur Brown is making this team. Really nice breakup of a pass intended for Racey McMath. Every day he’s doing something memorable out here. #Titans

For Brown to make the 53-man roster, it would be a nice comeback story after not catching on with the Steelers and going undrafted last year despite being a mid-round projection. It would also show that he’s made some serious strides in a short period of time in Tennessee.
With preseason action about to kick off, Brown could prove himself worthy of making that two-deep or just being a good enough depth piece to make that roster.
He’s taking full advantage of some other guys being out and that might lead to him making the team.
