Florida transfer Khris Bogle is “causing problems” for Michigan State football linemen off the edge so far in the Spartans’ fall camp.

After losing Jacub Panasiuk to the NFL, Mel Tucker knew he needed to go out and replace him through the transfer portal. He did just that with Florida’s Khris Bogle.

The former top-100 recruit didn’t have the most productive career with the Gators, but he also played for a defensive coordinator that was on the hot seat for a couple of years. He also came to Florida off an injury during his senior year of high school.

In three years, he had 67 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and seven sacks. Not too shabby, but he was also capable of so much more. His sophomore year in 2020 was his best as he finished with 27 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 10 games.

Now that he’s joined Michigan State’s defense, expectations are high. Everyone is hoping he has just scratched the surface, and early reports indicate that he could be a breakout star.

Tyler Hunt even told reporters that he’s “caused a lot of problems” during preseason camp off the edge.

What a refreshing thing to hear after losing one of the top pass-rushers from a year ago, but the defensive line might be one of the best position groups on the team. Having Bogle step up as a breakout candidate only makes it scarier.

Line Bogle up next to Jacob Slade and across from Jeff Pietrowski and you have one of the more explosive lines in the conference.

College football hasn’t seen the best of Bogle yet and I think that’s coming in 2022.
