At long last, college football is nearly back. Here’s how to watch Michigan State Spartans football throughout the 2022 season.

This… is… Sparty! Football is almost back – which means we finally have our Saturday rituals back. Here’s how to watch Michigan State Spartans football in 2022.

Michigan State Football Outlook 2022

Michigan State is coming off an 11-2 season, finishing with a Peach Bowl win. It was a signature season for head coach Mel Tucker and the Spartans are hoping to build on that momentum in 2022.

The good news for the Spartans is that they return the school record-holder for TD passes in a season (Payton Thorne) and a 1,000-yard receiver (Jayden Reed). They also bring in two high-profile transfers at running back in former Pac-12 Player of the Year Jarek Broussard and former Badgers running back Jalen Berger.

Defensively, things were a bit weird for Michigan State. The Spartans led the Big Ten in sacks, but were last in the nation in passing yards allowed. Consistency will be key for Michigan State and they’re hoping d-linemen Simeon Barrow and Jacob Slade will set the tone up front.

Michigan State Football Schedule 2022

Currently, Michigan State has three games locked into a network and time slot. They are:

Friday, September 2: vs Western Michigan (7PM ET, ESPN)

Saturday, September 10: vs Akron (4PM ET, BTN)

Saturday, September 17: at Washington (7:30PM ET, ABC)

Overall, the Spartans will truly be tested in October. In back-to-back weeks, Michigan State will host Ohio State and Wisconsin, before going on a bye week and traveling to Ann Arbor to take on Michigan.
