Former Michigan State football star Jalen Nailor was drafted in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but he’s looking like a steal for the Vikings.

The loss of Jalen Nailor is going to hurt Michigan State this fall, but luckily Jayden Reed is returning along with Tre Mosley and Keon Coleman.

But Nailor has that speed that’s going to be tough to replace next season.

The speedy wideout decided to forgo his final season in East Lansing in order to enter the 2022 NFL Draft and he was selected in the sixth round by the Minnesota Vikings. It wasn’t exactly where he expected to go, but it was a sign that he had the talent to play at the NFL level and he’d be connecting with former Spartan Kirk Cousins.

No one really knew what to expect from Nailor with the Vikings, but if fall camp is any indication, it looks like he’s not only going to make the 53-man roster, but he may actually play a decent role.

Nailor has been earning praise left and right over the past week with solid play at camp.

As he continues to turn heads in camp, one Minnesota sports media outlet made a bold prediction about the sixth-rounder: he’s going to make the 53-man roster.

Mel Tucker had to have seen this breakout coming because he watched as Nailor had explosive play after explosive play for the Spartans. He helped Michigan State win a number of games, including Miami, Rutgers, and Pitt.

Outside of Justin Jefferson, Minnesota could use some receiver depth so that should help his case when it comes to making the roster.
