Kenneth Walker III put up an insane 40-yard dash time at the NFL draft combine and EA Sports’ Madden 23 has responded accordingly.

How many times did we see Kenneth Walker III blow by people during the 2021 season? Too many to count honestly, and everyone is starting to take notice of his speed.

Walker’s speed sometimes gets overlooked because he’s so patient and elusive, but when he gets in the open field, he’s incredibly hard to catch — just ask Michigan, Rutgers, and Northwestern.

This is why everyone was somewhat shocked that he ran one of the fastest 40-times of any running back at the 2022 NFL Draft Combine. He clocked in at 4.38 seconds, just ahead of the first running back chosen in the 2022 NFL Draft, Breece Hall, who ran a 4.39.

Madden 23 took note of his speed and rewarded him accordingly.

In fact, the latest version of the popular video game series rated him a 93 in the speed category, which is tied for fourth in the league with Derrick Henry, Tony Pollard, Matt Breida, and Ty Chandler. He’s behind just Raheem Mostert, Jonathan Taylor, and Kene Nwangwu.

The fourth-fastest running back in the entire NFL before he even plays a single snap? That’s some serious respect there from the developers of the game.

If Walker can showcase that speed in Seattle while keeping the same elusiveness and vision that he had at Michigan State, he’s going to be a star in no time. He has to win that starting job first.

Regardless if he wins the starting job as a rookie or not, it’s cool to see Walker getting recognized as the explosive athlete we all know he is.
