Michigan State football star running back Kenneth Walker III is gearing up to be drafted this week but what is the best possible landing spot for him?

With the 2022 NFL Draft approaching, Michigan State football fans are looking to witness the end of the Spartans’ rare one-year drought.

After decades straight of having at least one player drafted, Michigan State saw its lengthy streak come to an end in 2021. It was Mel Tucker’s first draft with the Spartans (I’m not counting 2020 since those weren’t his guys) and it didn’t go quite as planned. He watched as no Spartans heard their names called despite Shakur Brown having a breakout year and being tabbed as a projected 5-7 round guy.

Fast forward to 2022 and the Spartans have the best running back in the country heading into the draft along with a couple of other prospects who should hear their names called on Day 2 or Day 3.

Kenneth Walker III will be the first Spartan off the board in the draft and he could also be the first running back off the board despite some saying Breece Hall is the better prospect.

So where would be the best fit for Walker III?

There are a few teams that could definitely use a running back but one, in particular, would be a fantastic fit for both Walker and the organization. The Buffalo Bills need that workhorse back and Walker would be just that. They have what it takes to compete for a Super Bowl already but the run game held them back.

Devin Singletary had 870 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 4.6 yards per touch and Zack Moss had 345 yards and four scores on 3.6 yards per carry. Neither blew anyone away and the pressure seemed to always fall on Josh Allen’s shoulders.

With a good running back, the Bills could take that next step and finally win a Super Bowl.

They have the No. 25 pick which could be a slight reach because I’m not sure any running back should go in round one, but Walker is that good. They also have the No. 57 pick which I don’t see him falling to. The Bills would probably have to make a draft-day trade in order to land him but I wouldn’t rule it out because the fit would be perfect.

If you want to see Walker’s career take off in the NFL immediately, root for him going to Buffalo.
