Michigan State Basketball: 3 quick reactions to BTT win over Maryland
By Nate Rhoades
1. Gabe Brown is back
Gabe Brown was another player who was slumping for the Spartans down the stretch of the season. Purdue came to town and he hit a couple of big shots early and that has boosted him since and he is back to consistently scoring in double figures again.
In this win against Maryland, he had 13 points on 5-for-8 from the floor while hitting 2-for-4 from deep. Brown is back to hunting and looking for his shoot. He is cutting to the basket with urgency and is looking like he wants to be on the court at all times again.
With the way Brown has played, he has given his teammates energy and is challenging them to do better on the court.
This is exactly the kind of Gabe Brown the Michigan State Spartans need for March. If this energy can continue from Gabe, the Spartans can make an unsuspected run in the Big Ten Tournament and the Big Dance come next week.
