Michigan State Basketball: 3 takeaways from huge BTT win over Wisconsin
2. Tyson Walker is becoming that dude
Down to the final minutes when Wisconsin was mounting a comeback, Michigan State turned to Tyson Walker to make big shots. He made two huge jumpers when Michigan State needed them in the final minutes and really put this game out of reach.
And when it was time for Wisconsin to foul, he knocked down key free throws and finished with 11 points. He was just 3-of-9 shooting but two of his makes were in the biggest moment of the game.
It’s good to see Michigan State have someone to turn to with the game on the line who has the confidence to put the ball in the basket when the stakes are the highest. He doesn’t shy away from the big shot and he showed that he could be ‘that dude’ when he hit the game-winner against Purdue a few weeks ago. His big shots helped Michigan State beat Wisconsin and Purdue.
Michigan State is getting a more confident Gabe Brown, Max Christie, Marcus Bingham Jr., AJ Hoggard, Joey Hauser, and Walker at the perfect time.
