2. Jaden Akins will be a stud

Jaden Akins was showing everyone at the game and anyone watching from home that he is deserving of more minutes. He only had two points but it seemed like he was the leader of the floor at times. He had two steals at just the right time to turn the momentum back to the Spartans.

Akins also had four rebounds and four assists. He was flying all over the court and getting his teammates involved.

Defense was another one of his strong suits in the game as he was aggressive. He stayed on his man and was slapping the floor and getting into it on defense.

This is great to see from a freshman who will be a future leader. Michigan State will need Akins to lead this team eventually probably with a very important role next year so seeing these leadership qualities in him in big games is great to see.

If Akins can continue this type of trajectory, he is going to be a stud.
