Michigan State basketball needed a big win to end the regular season and it stepped up. It delivered, ending the season with something to build on.

Michigan State needed a big win on Senior Day and the seniors delivered. The Spartans came out guns a-blazing and got off to a hot start. Marcus Bingham started the high energy with a rolling ally-oop, slamming the first two points down.

A few possessions later, Gabe Brown cut to the basket and made an and-one layup and made the free throw. Michigan State came back and Bingham hit back-to-back 3-pointers.

These streaky Spartans came out with a 14-0 run. The defense was just as strong as the offense, holding Maryland to only one made free throw until the 11-minute mark when the first Maryland basket was made.

Michigan State kept rolling and finished the first half on a strong note, going into the locker room with a 20-point lead. The second half was a different story. The Spartans came out flat and let the Terrapins come out on an 8-0 run. The Spartans were more streaky in the second half, turning the ball over 11 times. They were not as consistent and they let Maryland come back within three points.

Izzo called a timeout and got these Spartans back on track. They went back on an 11-2 run. The Spartans did not look back after this run and come away with an important win.

What are some of the reactions in this one?
