Michigan State Basketball: 3 keys to victory over Maryland on Senior Day
By Nate Rhoades
2. Senior leaders need to step up and bring the energy
Michigan State has fallen flat throughout the month of February into March. Part of the reason behind this slump is because the team has no energy. They look like they do not want to play and they no oomph going up and down the court early on.
The seniors need to step up in a huge way to win this senior day game. They will need to come out flying and get the teams energy and the crowds energy engaged into this game. The Spartans have been their best in the Breslin Center with the crowd behind them. Marcus Bingham and Gabe Brown will be a huge boost in many ways throughout this game.
Bingham will be a force on the defensive end of the floor and will need to get the other teammates engaged on that end. He will not back down and alter plenty of shots to make this a very long day for Maryland.
Brown will come out hunting for his shot. He will start the Spartans on an eight-point run with a major alley-oop running on the baseline and hitting two 3-pointers early. He will need to get his teammates engaged in the energy department and on the offensive end of the floor.
