Michigan State Football: Top 3 post-2022 signing day transfer targets
If there’s one position group that needs to be addressed after landing seven transfers and signing the 2022 class already, it would have to be the offensive line.
That’s where Brian Greene comes in.
Greene began the 2021 season on the Rimington Trophy watch list which is the award given to the nation’s best center. He started six games and missed some action with an injury, but he has plenty of experience and was even named honorable mention All-Pac-12 in 2020.
The Spartans are losing Matt Allen to graduation and some others to the transfer portal, so Greene would be an ideal addition to the interior. Matt Carrick should return and Michigan State also has Nick Samac as the projected starter at center, but maybe he could move to guard and Greene could take over in the middle of that line.
Imagine Greene takes over at center, Jason Brooks Jr. also commits, and Jarrett Horst returns to his early-2021 form, Michigan State’s offensive line may actually become a strength.
Greene is expected to visit Michigan State in March along with other planned trips to Arizona State and Virginia.
