2. Gabe Brown finally finds his shot

If there’s one player on the team who desperately needs to find his confidence and get back to his November and December performances, it’s Gabe Brown.

No one on the team is slumping quite like the senior wing from Belleville.

Brown went from averaging nearly 14 points per game all the way down to 11.4 and he’s shooting under 40 percent from the field officially. He was hot to start the year and looked like he was going to be the team’s go-to scorer, but he has just 19 points over his past five games and outside of a 20-point performance against Rutgers, he hasn’t scored more than 10 points in a game since Jan. 12.

Michigan State is 11-2 this season when he scores more than 10 points and just 7-7 when he scores 10 or fewer. Clearly he needs to get going if this team wants success.

I could see him coming off the bench against Purdue and finding his shot again after opening up to teammates this week that he is lacking confidence, per Julius Marble. He’ll get some confidence back on Saturday with a 13-point game.
