Michigan State basketball has had an up and down month. The Spartans will try and finish the on a high note. First on the list is Iowa.

Michigan State is heading in the wrong direction after another ugly loss to Illinois on Saturday. The Spartans will have their hands full when they travel to a surging Iowa team who will look to continue adding to their resume after a solid win at Ohio State.

The Spartans have had a flat month of February, going 2-4. They have fallen to the likes of Penn State and Rutgers along with a couple of ranked opponents in Wisconsin and Illinois. They are needing one more win to become a lock in the ESPN bracketology report. They also need one more win to give Tom Izzo his signature 662nd win of his career, tying the legendary Bob Knight.

Michigan State has a tough schedule to end the season, going to Iowa followed by a date with Purdue in the Breslin. Then they have to travel to Michigan and Ohio State and round out the season with a rematch against Maryland at home.

What do they need to do in this Iowa game to pick up that signature win and become a lock for the tournament?
