Michigan State Basketball: 3 quick reactions to pathetic loss at Penn St
By Nate Rhoades
Michigan State basketball was coming off a great win against Indiana. It was looking to get some consistency against Penn State and it faltered.
Michigan State went back on the road looking to find some consistency after a brilliant win against Indiana. They took on the Penn State Nittany Lions who are bottom dwellers in this year’s Big Ten. The first half was a struggle, not really being able to find their stride and defend well along with not shooting this ball well.
The Spartans took a lead coming out of halftime going up by as many as 14. That’s when things started to plummet out of control. MSU took a couple of bad shots while the Lions were able to convert on some major 3-point shots down to get the game within six points.
From there, it was all Penn State. The Nittany Lions ended the game on a 33-15 run and and forced the Spartans into a shot clock violation with one minute left. With that, all Penn State had to do was convert the free throws, which they did, coming out with a big 62-58 win against the No. 19 Spartans.
Here are some of my quick reactions from last nights game.
