Michigan State football has some names that will be attending the 2022 NFL Combine. Who are they and which player will it help out the most?

Michigan State had a successful 2021 season going 11-2 and winning the Peach Bowl. Now with the season over, the Spartans are losing some key pieces to their team and they’re heading to the NFL combine.

Some of these holes that are being left by these players will be harder to fill compared to others but to stay consistent and want to keep winning the Spartans are gonna have to have the next-man-up mentality.

With a fairly strong 2022 recruiting class for Michigan State and Mel Tucker, it should not be too hard to help fill in the void left by these guys but it’s still something to look at. So without further ado, here are the Michigan State Spartans who have received an invite to the NFL combine.

The list of Spartans invited is not very long compared to other schools but these are still names you would want to get a look at if you are an NFL GM, coach, scout, etc.

  • Kenneth Walker III, RB
  • Jalen Nailor, WR
  • Connor Heyward, TE/FB

Now just because they were invited does not mean they all will participate. I think Heyward and Nailor definitely will because the latter missed a lot of time last season due to injury so I am sure he is going to do anything he can to help boost his stock.

Heyward, too, because it was his first year as a tight end and not trying to be a running back so I am sure he is going to want to show these NFL teams he is a real tight end or fullback and ready to play at the NFL level.

I don’t know if Walker will participate due to the fact he is already looked at as an early-second rounder or mid-to-late first-round pick. But then again it never hurts to want to show off a little more and try and boost your stock. So really Walker is the only one I could see not participating but in all likeliness, he probably will.
