2. Gabe Brown stays hot, hits five threes

Gabe Brown was ice-cold for weeks before breaking his slump against Rutgers last Saturday. He finished with 20 points and hit 6-of-7 shots from distance, but that wasn’t even enough to keep Michigan State afloat in a game that Rutgers simply wasn’t missing.

It was just the second time in five games that he scored in double figures as he was held to just 27 total points over the previous four contests. He broke out in a big way.

That’s going to continue against Wisconsin as he finally got his confidence back. All he needed to see was that shot hit the bottom of the net and it was smooth sailing from there. He had the confidence to go up with even an inch of room. He was making everything and ended the game with his best performance since early January.

Gabe is going to get hot early against Wisconsin and stay hot, hitting five 3-pointers on nine attempts. This is exactly what Michigan State will need. No more timid Gabe.
