Michigan State basketball is getting a rematch with No. 14 Wisconsin on Tuesday night with a chance to bounce back. Will the Spartans come out on top?

The last time Michigan State basketball faced Wisconsin, the Spartans were coming off a disappointing loss to a middle-of-the-pack Big Ten team (Northwestern). This time around, the same is true.

The Spartans are fresh off a forgettable road loss against Rutgers and are hoping for the same fate from the first matchup. Michigan State is 4-0 after losses this season and it’s hoping to improve to 5-0 against No. 14 Wisconsin and put together a nice little run in the month of February.

Will Michigan State bounce back and beat the Badgers again?

3. Joey Hauser has his best game of the year

There’s something about facing Wisconsin that seems to bring out the best in Joey Hauser. It might have something to do with the fact that the Badgers are his home-state team and they expected to land him when he transferred from Marquette, but he spurned them for Michigan State. And Wisconsin fans still aren’t over it.

But Hauser has had some solid performances against the Badgers over the past two years. He had seven points and 11 rebounds in the first meeting this year and he had 27 points and seven rebounds in the only meeting last year.

I just have a gut feeling that he’s going to have another elite performance against the Badgers.

It may not top the 27-point outing that he had against Wisconsin last year, but he’ll have his best game of the 2021-22 season, scoring 18 points with 10 rebounds.
