1. Michigan State wins by two scores

With all of the losses Pitt has endured before the bowl game including quarterback Kenny Pickett, receiver Taysir Mack, and offensive coordinator Mark Whipple, Michigan State’s defense will get that much more of a break. This was looking like a huge mismatch for the Spartans defensively, but with all of these key pieces gone, Michigan State’s defense has a shot to gain confidence.

And on the offensive side of the ball, getting Jalen Nailor and Jayden Reed back and healthy will be huge. If Jarrett Horst plays, that’s just icing on the cake. He would be a huge addition to that line.

Payton Thorne is facing a really poor passing defense and he has his weapons back so you just know he’s chomping at the big to face the Panthers on Thursday.

Everything seems to be trending in Michigan State’s direction and I think that will lead to a rather comfortable win for the Spartans. This won’t quite be Holiday Bowl levels of blowout like the Spartans had over Washington State in 2017, but Michigan State wins by two scores.

Michigan State wins this one 41-27 and finishes the year 11-2.
