Michigan State football is getting ready to take on Pitt on Thursday night in the Peach Bowl. What can we expect from this matchup?

After a month-long break, Michigan State football is finally getting back into the action on Thursday night against Pitt in the Peach Bowl which happens to be the first New Year’s Six game of 2021.

The Panthers will be without some key players, including Heisman finalist Kenny Pickett, as well as offensive coordinator Mark Whipple. Michigan State will be without Kenneth Walker III.

This game will still be one of the more exciting games of bowl season and the Spartans are looking to record 11 wins for the first time since 2015.

What could we see from Michigan State during Thursday night’s Peach Bowl?

3. Jayden Reed, Jalen Nailor both have over 100 yards

Folks, Jalen Nailor is finally back. And you know what that means? The Michigan State receiving corps will be at full strength for the first time since the Michigan game. It’s been nearly two months since Michigan State had both Jayden Reed and Nailor and that should be terrifying for Pitt’s 105th-ranked passing defense.

Reed and Nailor make one of the best 1-2 punches in college football in terms of receivers and when both are healthy, the sky is the absolute limit.

We’re going to see both of them torch the Pitt secondary for 100-plus yards and with these big games, Reed will break 1,000 receiving yards on the year. He will become the first Michigan State receiver to reach that mark since Aaron Burbridge back in 2015.

Maybe we’ll even hear him deciding to return to MSU following the big performance.
