Michigan State Football: 3 best Kenneth Walker III moments of 2021
1. Fifth touchdown to beat Michigan
This one was a no-brainer. While Kenneth Walker III had other moments worthy of making this list and even pushing for the No. 1 spot, there was no better moment in his Michigan State career than on Oct. 30 when the Spartans needed him the most.
Down 33-30 with just over five minutes left, Michigan State needed a lightning strike in order to take the lead late in the game after trailing by 16 just one quarter earlier.
Walker, who already had four touchdowns, took a handoff and went basically untouched for 23 yards and a touchdown. The crowd was deafening after this run and it should have solidified his status as a Heisman finalist — even Gus Johnson thought so.

Walker had 197 yards on the day and five touchdowns which was an incredible performance in the biggest game of the season. He was the reason the Spartans were able to come back and beat the Wolverines in East Lansing, accounting for Michigan’s only loss of the year.
This run still gives me goosebumps.
