While we only got one year of Kenneth Walker III with Michigan State football, he provided fans with some incredible moments.

We have officially watched Kenneth Walker III in a Michigan State football uniform for the last time. Even typing that out hurts. He was one of the best athletes to play for the Spartans in my lifetime and he has announced he’s opting out of the bowl game.

While this move hurts, it definitely makes sense if he wants to prepare for the NFL draft and avoid major injury. He’s likely going to be the top running back drafted, so this makes sense.

In just one year, the Wake Forest transfer has given Michigan State fans a ton of memories, and looking back at his season, he may have been the most impactful Spartan in a decade.

Let’s take a look at the best moments from the Walker era at Michigan State.

Honorable mention: Winning the Doak Walker, Walter Camp awards

This was an obvious great moment and it deserves mentioning even if it wasn’t a physical moment like the rest on this list, but Kenneth Walker III taking home the first-ever Doak Walker and Walter Camp awards in school history.

The Wake Forest transfer was an absolute sensation in just one year on campus. He finished with 1,636 yards and 18 rushing touchdowns with another receiving touchdown and quickly became the best running back in college football. It didn’t take long for him to make a name for himself as everyone kind of knew he was special in the opener, but for sure during the Miami win.

Although he was somehow denied a Heisman Trophy invite, Walker is going to go down as one of the best running backs in school history despite playing at Michigan State just one year.

If you’re in disagreement here, show me highlights of another player who had moves like Walker on a consistent basis. This man was a walking highlight.
