Michigan State football “way better than expected” for visiting recruits
Some top recruits have admitted to Mel Tucker that Michigan State football has been “way, way, way better than expected” after visiting.
If you can’t recruit at Michigan State, you probably can’t recruit.
Those words from Mel Tucker this past year seemed bold at the time, but they’re becoming truer by the day as the second-year head coach is on the verge of landing a top-20 recruiting class and he has picked up three quality transfers in the portal.
Tucker has been recruiting well since he’s returned to Michigan State as the head coach and recruits agree. But they don’t just buy in to the coach, they’re buying into the school.
According to Tucker, recruits have told him some very positive things about the school and campus.
With the early signing period beginning on Wednesday, that’s a perfect time to hear positive things from recruits. It’s nice to hear that the program is “way, way, way, way better” than they expected.
That’s either saying that they came to East Lansing not expecting much and were blown away by Tucker’s program, the facilities, and the campus or they expected a good visit and were shocked by how much better it truly was. Either way, this is a huge victory for Tucker.
Mel went on to say that Michigan State is in the mix for some big players in the 2022 recruiting class still and that’s a good sign heading into Wednesday.
Hopefully Kiyaunta Goodwin, Damari Alston, and Amari Winfield all echoed this sentiment of MSU being better than expected.
