As we get closer to bowl season, more than just the games come to mind for players and fans. Who are the top draft prospects for Michigan State football?

Well, for some players, that is the NFL.

For the first time in 80 years, Michigan State football failed to have a player drafted in 2021. Following a shortened season in which the team finished 2-5 under new head coach Mel Tucker, the roster went through many changes with many players transferring in and out.

With a new staff and many new players, there was a lot to figure out with not a lot of time. However, there were some notable Spartans that earned UDFA contracts, including defensive back Shakur Brown, defensive lineman Naquan Jones, and linebacker Antjuan Simmons.

This year is quite different than last. Coach Tucker has completely turned this team around, finishing his second regular season at 10-2. The success also must be credited to some players that have gained national attention and may hear their name called in April.

Also, note that some of these players have the choice of declaring for the draft or staying for one more season.
