3. Will Marcus Bingham Jr. be an All-Big Ten big?

Up until this point in the season, Marcus Bingham has been looking like he is an All-Big Ten center. His defense has been incredible and he’s leading the team with three blocks per game and 1.2 steals per game. He is also leading the team in rebounds with 7.6 per game.

Bingham has been difficult to score on. He has been using his body more and pushing the bigs off the block, fighting for position down low, and not letting those bigs get comfortable. It has been a pleasure to watch Bingham work this season after being bullied down low the past three seasons. He is fighting back this year and it has been spectacular.

Not only has his defense been fantastic but he has been excelling on the offensive side of the ball as well. He is averaging 10.6 points per game. This emergence on the offensive side has also been great to see. He has already scored in double-figures twice the amount of times this year as he did in his first three seasons combined.

Bingham will have a tough task ahead of him. He will soon have to go up against the likes of Hunter Dickerson, Zach Edey, Trevion Williams, Kofi Cockburn, Trayce Jackson-Davis, and so many other great bigs the Big Ten has to offer this season. He will need to continue to be aggressive on both ends of the floor, pushing these guys off the block and do not let them get comfortable.

If Bingham can continue what he is doing on both ends of the floor then he will definitely be an All-Big Ten big at the end of this season.
