Michigan State football is trending with former top-100 defensive end Khris Bogle who has decided to leave Florida this offseason.

Mel Tucker is going to be a transfer portal mainstay throughout his Michigan State football coaching career and honestly, he should be. He made a killing in the portal last offseason and it helped turn Michigan State from a 2-5 team into a 10-2 New Year’s Six-bound squad.

So far since the regular season ended, Tucker has landed one transfer in the form of former four-star running back Jalen Berger from Wisconsin. It was a needed pickup and he should help replace Kenneth Walker III next year.

Following the addition of Berger, the staff hosted a couple of big-time targets in the portal this past weekend.

One was Jacoby Windmon who might be the next star linebacker at Michigan State and he’d be an immediate upgrade on the defensive side of the ball after starring at UNLV this year. The other was former top-100 defensive end Khris Bogle who left Florida following the season and the departure of Dan Mullen.

Kentucky looked like the early favorite for Bogle after he entered the portal, but Michigan State is apparently making up some serious ground, and then some.

Crystal balls favor Michigan State football after visit

Bogle visited Michigan State this past weekend, as stated above, and it seemed to be a solid enough trip that it swayed him more toward the green and white.

On Monday, Michigan State picked up a few transfer crystal balls for Bogle. He would be a huge addition to the defensive line which is losing guys like Jacub Panasiuk, Drew Jordan, and Drew Beesley to graduation this offseason.

Bogle played three seasons for the Gators, totaling 67 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and a forced fumble. If given the right opportunity, the 6-4, 240-pound edge rusher can wreak some havoc up front.

Michigan State looks close to adding another transfer portal gem.
