Michigan State Basketball: Game-by-game predictions for November 2021
Michigan State gets a nice warm-up game before the Battle 4 Atlantis with Eastern Michigan coming to town on Nov. 20. This will be a game that flies under the radar that day as the football team will be in Columbus for a noon kickoff against Ohio State which will likely be for the Big Ten East title. However, the Spartan hoops team will take care of business and hopefully make Michigan State 2-for-2 on this huge Saturday.
Rob Murphy is a solid coach and Tom Izzo knows he’ll have his guys ready, but defense will steal the show here and Michigan State will hold the Eagles to around 30 percent shooting while having a big day from beyond the 3-point line itself.
Final Score: Eastern Michigan 51, Michigan State 75 (4-0)
This is a game that scares me a little bit. Michigan State and Loyola Chicago are going to have a defensive showdown in the Bahamas on Nov. 24 and this will come down to whoever has more scorers and I think that will be the Spartans.
Gabe Brown, Max Christie, Tyson Walker, and Joey Hauser should be enough offensively to put away Drew Valentine and the Ramblers, but this is going to be one of the best games of the season.
Even with the loss, I’m still lobbying for Valentine as the next Michigan State head coach.
Final Score: Michigan State 55, Loyola Chicago 54 (5-0)
