Don’t let Twitter fool you, Michigan State football still has a huge game against Indiana before it can even start truly thinking about Michigan. Luckily, the Spartans get a bye week to prepare for Michigan so they can really focus all of their energy on the Hoosiers this week.

The Spartans lost 24-0 to the Hoosiers last season in East Lansing and if they want revenge, they’re going to have to step up against a solid defense.

Michigan State has one of the most explosive offenses in the country, so something’s got to give on Saturday afternoon in Bloomington.

Will the Spartans get their revenge?

3. The Spartans force three Indiana turnovers

Michael Penix Jr. has been a turnover machine this season, but he may actually miss Saturday’s game. He had just four touchdowns to seven interceptions before his injury and his backup, Jack Tuttle, has one touchdown and one interception on the year.

Indiana is prone to turnovers and Michigan State has been known to get a critical takeaway late in games (Miami, Nebraska, Rutgers games all had late turnovers to seal the win).

Michigan State is going to get after Tuttle on Saturday, strip-sacking him once late in the game and picking him off once. The Spartans also force another fumble in the first half to get some good field position and a score early on.

Teams that win turnover battles usually win the game, and Michigan State will force three to zero for Indiana.
